Frequently Asked Questions

  • Am I eligible for a refund?
The short answer is yes. All purchasers of individual Friday and Sunday tickets, as well as those who purchased Weekend Passes, will receive automatic refunds from Eventbrite. You should check your email that you used when purchasing the ticket for a notification of the refund to the method of payment used when you purchased the ticket. Please allow a reasonable amount of time for the refund to be processed.
  • What do I need to do to receive a refund?
If you purchased a ticket to Friday or Sunday’s events or a Weekend Pass, nothing more needs to be done on your end as your refund will be processed automatically. If you purchased a Patron or Host Pass, please see the email sent directly to you or go here
  • I purchased a Weekend Pass and still want to attend the events on Saturday and Sunday. Why am I receiving a refund? Do I have to repurchase tickets for both events?
Our Weekend Pass purchasers are being refunded because the Sunday party is no longer a ticketed event and has changed significantly enough to warrant a refund. While we apologize for the inconvenience of having to repurchase tickets to Saturday’s event, we hope that you will appreciate the ease and speed with which you received your refund as well as the lower price of admission for our new Sunday event at Oz.
  • I purchased a ticket to the Saturday party, but cannot attend. Can I get a refund?"
Yes, but you will need to request a refund. In order to have your refund request processed as quickly as possible, please submit it using this Google Form.
  • Do I have to be vaccinated to attend HNO’s events?
While we hope this is not a question that is frequently asked, the answer is yes and no. Yes, you will need to show proof of vaccination to be admitted to all HNO events. If, however, you are not yet fully vaccinated, you must show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before admission. This is not our rule. These are the regulations that govern those who want to be admitted to a venue in the City of New Orleans. Our rule would be even stricter when it comes to requiring the vaccine. Be smart. Get vaccinated.
  • Do I have to wear a mask?
Currently, the City of New Orleans is enforcing an indoor mask mandate, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must be worn indoors by everyone who is not eating or drinking when with people who are not in their immediate household. Until the mandate is lifted, mask up! It’s Halloween!
  • Will one negative PCR test result be sufficient for both Saturday and Sunday events?
It will be if the the negative COVID-19 PCR test was taken no more than 72 hours before admission on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Otherwise, you’ll need to get a second test...or get vaccinated.
  • What is Halloween New Orleans and what is Project Lazarus?
If you got this far and still have these questions, here are links to the About section on our website, as well as a link to Project Lazarus.
  • Why have you decided to cancel the Lazarus Ball?
It was a tough decision, but it was the only choice that made financial sense in the wake of the ongoing pandemic and Hurricane Ida if HNO is to fulfill its mission to benefit Project Lazarus. We fully expect to return to a full slate of events next year when hopefully the pandemic has ended.
  • Why did you move the Sunday Tea Dance from the boat?
This was another tough decision, and hopefully one that we will not be forced to make again. Nevertheless, we are so grateful and excited to partner with Oz for this year’s Sunday event and look forward to seeing you all there. We expect this event to raise our donation to new heights and truly make this a year when HNO shows up and shows out for Project Lazarus when they need it most.
  • I purchased a ticket/I am considering purchasing a ticket to Saturday’s Main Event Level Up An HNO GLO Event. Is it going to be a scaled down version of the party? What can I expect?
Good question and glad you asked. This is not a scaled down event. In fact, if conditions forced us to scale back the party, we would have chosen a different path for the weekend. We know what our Hosts, Patrons, and attendees have come to expect, and if we could not deliver on those expectations, we would be transparent about it. You will not be disappointed and in fact, you may be surprised at how much fun we have in store for you. See you on the dance floor!
  • I’m feeling charitable. Am I able to still purchase a Host or Patron Pass? If so, do I get anything for my donation?"
Yes, you can and yes, you do, but since you’re feeling charitable there’s no need for me to list it all right here. Instead, follow this link.
  • I’ve always been a host and would like to be a host again this year, but I haven’t bought my host pass yet. Can I still purchase a Host or Patron Pass?"
Absolutely! Our Hosts and Patrons are central to HNO’s continuing mission and we would not be here without them. Please see the information provided to our Hosts and Patrons here regarding Host and Patron passes and what one receives for their donation in addition to that warm feeling inside when you know you are making a difference for good in the world, specifically in the lives of the residents of Project Lazarus.
